The Blackwater Campsite is situated adjacent to the Blackwater Hostel overlooking the River Leven. It is ideal for those walking the West Highland Way as it is the first campsite you come to as you walk down into the village from Glencoe. Many of our guests tell us it’s, “The best equipped site along the West Highland Way”.
The camping ground is ideally located for those with tired legs as it is right in the centre of the village. Just a few minutes walk to the supermarket, pubs, fish & chip shop and post office. The Ice Factor is right next door to us which also has a good shop with basic camping supplies.

Our campsite has 30 grassy camping pitches, perfect for anyone looking to soak up the outdoors. We allow 2-man tents only, so the site stays peaceful, tidy and safe for everyone.
Thanks to guest feedback, you can now book your pitch online — but if you prefer to turn up on the day, don’t stress… we try and keep space aside for walk-ins.
Camping guests get full access to all our facilities, including:
– Free WiFi (yes, even in a tent!)
– Unlimited hot showers in our newly renovated shower block — plenty of showers to go around, plus hand soap, shower gel & shampoo
– Toilets kept clean and fresh throughout the day
– Power points to charge your phone or laptop
– Two large drying rooms with commercial dehumidifiers — wet boots and soaked jackets magically dry by morning
– Covered seating and a pot-wash area for cooking gear
There are no cooking facilities on the campsite itself, but small camping stoves are welcome.
Dogs are also welcome — we just ask that they stay on a lead at all times so everyone can enjoy a relaxed stay.
Whether you’re walking the West Highland Way, heading out on an adventure, or just after a peaceful night under the stars, our campsite is the perfect base.

Our hostel can accommodate up to 39 guests between 10 private en-suite rooms of various sizes. Each room has central heating, double glazing, TV, comfortable bunk beds with bed linens included. Other facilities include drying rooms, communal kitchen & dining area plus free WIFI. Only 200metres from village centre.
Overlooking the village of Kinlochleven, our lodge has recently been renovated with new heating system & double glazing. Sleeps up to 32 guests between 8 private rooms. Comfortable bunk beds with bed linens included. Communal showers/toilets, kitchen, lounge & dining area & drying rooms. Free WIFI.
The Glamping Pods are ideally positioned with many overlooking the River Leven. A great alternative to camping. We have 12, all season pods sleeping from 2-4 people. Each pod offers luxuries such as electric lights & sockets, free wifi, TV, microwave, fridge and kettle, electric heater/fan, storage & midge screens.
